Roger C. Rappoport

Roger C. Rappoport is the leader of Procopio's Emerging Growth and Technology Practice Group. Mr. Rappoport has extensive experience counseling start-up and emerging growth companies in the information technology, telecommunications, life sciences, and cleantech industries. He also represents high net worth individuals, angel, and venture capital investors who focus on investing in companies in these industries. His practice includes corporate formation and entity selection, corporate governance, assisting clients develop a funding strategy and the alternatives available to entrepreneurs, venture capital and other private equity financings, convertible note and other debt financing arrangements; mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and restructurings, the implementation of equity incentive plans, licensing, OEM, VAR and distribution arrangements, and primary and secondary public offerings. Mr. Rappoport is a frequent speaker and panelist on topics and issues related to the development and implementation of a company’s funding strategy, positioning a company to maximize its pre-money valuation, the art and benefits of selecting and partnering with the right investors, and effectively negotiating the terms of a debt or financing transaction and term sheets related thereto.

Mr. Rappoport currently splits his time between the San Diego and Silicon Valley offices. As a leader in the Emerging Growth arena, the dual office locations enhance his presence throughout the state, and aid in his ability to work with start-up companies in both the Southern and Northern California regions.

Before attending law school, he was the founder and General Manager for nine years of a technology company in Houston, Texas, growing the company to $10 million in revenue. He was responsible for all sales, administrative and financial aspects of the business, including the negotiation of a license agreement with a major retail merchandise company for the development of products to be marketed under the retailer’s name.

Prior to joining Procopio, Mr. Rappoport was an attorney in the business department of Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe LLP in Silicon Valley.

Anastasia Ashman

Anastasia Asman, Social Community Builder at (a new social storytelling platform).

Anastasia designed the GlobalNiche social web training curriculum to help people everywhere find their purpose and place online, and in the community -- using content and culture to aid connection. She has a track record of empowering women around the web's new vulnerability, visibility and voice, and won an award for a strategy to build a global platform for 5 million women change-agents using free social web technology. She founded a group blog for global citizens and published a critically acclaimed expatriate literature collection "Tales From The Expat Harem". As an entrepreneur, she draws on her New York publishing and Hollywood entertainment industry experience with unique global dexterity from 14 years of international living.

Efrat Kasznik

Efrat Kasznik is an IP valuation expert, and a lecturer on IP Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). She is the founder and president of Foresight Valuation Group, a Silicon-Valley based IP, valuation and startup advisory firm. Efrat has about 20 years of IP consulting experience, focusing on assisting clients with valuing and commercializing their innovation. She worked as a valuation consultant to some of the world's largest IP holders across a variety of industries. Ms. Kasznik is Chair of the LES 3CX Committee, and is listed on the IAM 300 list of leading IP strategists for 2013. She serves on the Board of Advisers of several startups in the US and Europe. She is a mentor at the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Stanford GSB, and is a member of the screening committee of the Astia Angel Fund. Ms. Kasznik holds an MBA from UC Berkeley.

Bill Joos

Bill Joos is the principal of "Go To Market Consulting" based in the heart of Silicon Valley. His single professional goal is to help entrepreneurs accelerate their success. Since 1998 he has worked with early-to-mid stage technology entrepreneurs and venture capital firms’ portfolio clients.

Bill spent seven years as the VP of Entrepreneur Development at Garage Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm that he co-founded along with Guy Kawasaki. While at Garage, he earned a reputation for his expertise in providing portfolio clients with effective, hands-on, action-oriented strategic and tactical mentoring and coaching.

In 2004, Bill founded his own practice and extended his services to global clients. He has worked with literally hundreds of early-to-mid stage high-technology startups worldwide and successfully helped them polish and clarify their messages and refine their fund-raising and customer presentations. Beyond being a leading “pitch doctor,” his services also include revenue and pricing strategies, business alliances, business development and marketing.

Over 20,000 entrepreneurs worldwide have attended conferences or workshops where Bill has been a featured keynote speaker or workshop leader on entrepreneurial topics.

With his individual consulting clients, Bill has been involved in over 200 fund raising efforts.

He has also held sales and marketing positions with a variety of companies, including IBM, and served as VP Sales at the software division of Apple Computer.

Elizabeth Harmetz

Her personal integrity and willingness to explore the full range of human experience make her an inspiration to her listeners and colleagues alike.

David Walling

David Walling is a recognized leader in sales, leveraging marketing and business development credentials, who is accomplished at rapidly growing sales to enterprise customers. Known to attain focus and apply strategic improvements driving growth, productivity, and consistency. Adept at developing customer focused, integrated marketing and sales programs to launch new products, enter new markets or reinvigorate sales. Creates and guides business relationships based upon shared goals, collaboration and consensus. Develops, motivates and leads diverse and flexible global teams: selling across emerging and mature markets. Revenue responsibilities span start-up to $1B.

Abha Singhvi

Abha Singhvi is a visionary leader, entrepreneur, life and leadership coach and non-profit board member with 20+ years experience starting, building and operating businesses. She was co-founder and VP of Finance and Administration at Paperfly where she managed HR, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Administration. As a founder and CEO of Stratascape, she was responsible for all aspects of the business and eventually sold the company to TMP Worldwide (now Her experience includes training, sales, and recruiting as well as management and consulting.

After a successful career in for-profit business, Ms. Singhvi decided to focus her entrepreneurial energy and vision into developing existing non-profit organizations that fit her vision of violence free personal/professional environment where everyone lives a life of dignity.

Kristin Tedford

Kristin Tedford, co-founder of Bold Echo Communication Solutions, is one of Silicon Valley’s premier presentation coaches. She specializes in helping people become confident, compelling and connected presenters by developing more powerful presentations and reducing public speaking anxiety. She leads group workshops and provides 1:1 coaching for executives and their teams at market leaders such as NVIDIA, NetApp, SAP, Intuit, Twitter, and St.Jude Medical. She has also coached executives for Sequoia Capital and Mayfield Fund's portfolio companies including Sencha, Appirio, Tagged, WhatsApp, and Chartboost. She is passionate about helping start-ups launch their products.

Lisa Kay Solomon

Lisa Kay Solomon is the founder of Innovation Studio and teaches innovation at the groundbreaking MBA in Design Strategy program at San Francisco's California College of the Arts. She is the coauthor of Moments of Impact: How to Design Strategic Conversations that Accelerate Change, a book that offers a simple creative process to help leaders and teams tackle their most challenging issues.

Building on her background in experience design, scenario planning, and business strategy, Lisa teaches leaders how to embrace their full potential as innovators.

Rachel Powers

Rachel Powers is the VP of Experience Design at NewDealDesign, a strategic creative agency in San Francisco. She is a design leader with 20 years of experience designing meaningful product experiences for consumers and businesses. She has worked with companies such as Apple, Google, HSBC, Intel, Oracle and Yahoo, among others, and has won many international awards.

Rachel holds a BFA and MA. She is an inventor on multiple patents. In addition to her design work, she has also been a Professor at several prestigious institutions, including the IIT Institute of Design and Northwestern University where she taught courses on the management of creativity and design, user experience, design strategy and human-centered innovation.

Kathryn Gorges

Kathryn Gorges is founder of WomenLaunch and Marketing Possibility, Kathryn brings over 17 years of experience in high tech marketing and sales to her marketing consulting business with medium and small businesses and startups in the Silicon Valley area. She helps businesses clarify their brand, build their marketing strategy, and develop executable marketing plans that produce results.

Kathryn has spoken at conferences, workshops, meetings, and corporations on topics ranging from the future of marketing and social media to the application of high availability systems in the financial industry. She is currently the instructor for Marketing Strategies for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners at UC Berkeley Extension in San Francisco, CA. Kathryn is also president of the Stanford Entrepreneur Alumni Group and NorCal BMA Marketing Strategy Roundtable Leader. She has held marketing and sales leadership positions at IBM, Amdahl, Stratus, and Tandem and has served in executive roles on non-profit boards and community organizations. She has a Masters in Philosophy from Stanford University, a BS in Mathematics from William and Mary, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Tanya Monsef Bunger

Tanya Monsef Bunger is a business consultant and leadership coach with over 25 years of business experience in corporate high tech, start-up and non-profit industries. She designs and delivers leadership training, provides one-on-one coaching, and facilitates conversations to clients around the world. Currently she is working with Women's Start-up Lab and conducts business development for the GlobalNiche curriculum delivery. In addition, she is a business school professor at Santa Clara University (SCU) where she is the director of the Global Fellows program. Active in various community programs and non-profits, she serves on the Board of Fellows for SCU, the Board of the Global Women's Leadership Network and is a founder of the Turkish Women's International Network, San Francisco chapter.

Hung Pham

Hung Pham has over eight years of experience in a variety of roles applying project management and business analysis in defining, planning, and implementing projects while balancing time, cost and quality.

With both a strong business and technical background he is able to identify issues and drive solutions while bridging the gap between technical and business audiences. One of his specialties includes LEAN Startups.
